Warcraft movie posters fanart made by Kelson
Blending actor Rob Kazinsky and fictional character of Orgrim Doomhammer into one person, crew from Industrial Light and Magic which brought us the Hulk in Avengers prolly pushed the limits of CGI again. Most of fans were sceptical how a heavy CGI Warcraft movie will look, but looking at the first still image of Orgrim Doomhammer from the Warcraft movie, I would say that we don’t have to worry about that anymore cuz it looks freaking awesome 🙂
In all those images from BlizzCon, there actually gave two teaser Warcraft movie posters. Since I posted the wallpapers in one of the last posts and they look pretty much the same as teaser posters, it kinda slipped away. So now when it’s a dry season again with the news and I just found them in my images folder….lets show them 😉
This years BlizzCon has started and some interesting news are coming on the opening ceremony about everything Blizzard. They actually announced the new game world after 17 years, team base action shooter called Overwatch and it’s coming rather fast then usual for Blizzard games. As for the movie, the panel is still 2 hours away, but they did introduced offical movie websites. Yep, there is not one, but two 🙂
Now I don’t know hou offical those two site will be or they are just a good marketing plan to slowly build up things and maybe there will introduce one main site later. If not, then you always have this site to check things out in one place 😉
Well, what I hoped it won’t happen – it happened. They showed an actual Warcraft movie footage trailer only for the Comic-Con visitors. I hope Legendary will change their mind and give us all that teaser trailer and it won’t be like last year when that mood teaser was shown once and never again. Only stories about it. So since I have no idea it this Comic-Con trailer will see the light of day, I will give you IGN description of the said trailer and you will need to use your imagination 😉
“The main human character is portrayed by Travis Fimmell. He has long brown hair and a beard and is garbed in black shining armor trimmed with gold. We hear him speak about guarding his king and guarding his own family. He ponders whether he is strong or worthy enough. Likewise, his orc counterpart speaks of being a father and if he is up to the task. The point is that these two foes are more alike than they are different.
But the orcs’ homeland has been destroyed and so he asks if war is the only answer now. We then see a slew of quick shots of the supporting cast, including a nefarious-looking Dominic Cooper, Ben Foster‘s mage casting a spell, and a green-skinned Paula Patton aggressively licking someone. The orcs look great, very organic and real. The world also looks real and not simply like a CG-rendered realm. We get a sense of the different regions, from the desert wastelands to the wooded regions of the humans.” IGN

Warcraft movie logo trailer
Last year at Comic-Con 2013 we got that mysterious teaser/mood trailer that only people there had the pleasure to watch it. After that, the trailer vanished into the Nether. This year I expect a lot more since the movie is in post-production, so a proper teaser trailer (like official one, not just for the Comic-Con 2014 guests) would be really nice.
Legendary Pictures has a panel going Saturday July 26, 2014 12:25pm – 1:10pm, where they will talk about their upcoming movies. So far we got some images of some Warcraft movie props and what it seems to be a Warcraft movie logo. Yes, it does look more like Starcraft logo, so I don’t really understand the direction they are going with that new font. It looks cool though, but it just doesn’t feel Warcraft, to me at least.
And we also got a nice picture of Warcraft movie exhibit with Doomhammer, Alliance Lion shield and an interesting sword that kinda looks like it could be Great Royal Sword that is wielded by Anduin Lothar.
Empire Magazine for its 300th issue has an article about Warcraft movie and with it we finally got a first image from Warcraft movie set. It’s not something huge as you can notice, but at least we can see that they are using built sets and not green screen, which is always a plus 🙂
