Well, what I hoped it won’t happen – it happened. They showed an actual Warcraft movie footage trailer only for the Comic-Con visitors. I hope Legendary will change their mind and give us all that teaser trailer and it won’t be like last year when that mood teaser was shown once and never again. Only stories about it. So since I have no idea it this Comic-Con trailer will see the light of day, I will give you IGN description of the said trailer and you will need to use your imagination 😉
“The main human character is portrayed by Travis Fimmell. He has long brown hair and a beard and is garbed in black shining armor trimmed with gold. We hear him speak about guarding his king and guarding his own family. He ponders whether he is strong or worthy enough. Likewise, his orc counterpart speaks of being a father and if he is up to the task. The point is that these two foes are more alike than they are different.
But the orcs’ homeland has been destroyed and so he asks if war is the only answer now. We then see a slew of quick shots of the supporting cast, including a nefarious-looking Dominic Cooper, Ben Foster‘s mage casting a spell, and a green-skinned Paula Patton aggressively licking someone. The orcs look great, very organic and real. The world also looks real and not simply like a CG-rendered realm. We get a sense of the different regions, from the desert wastelands to the wooded regions of the humans.” IGN

Yes, you have read it good – two tribes. Thomas Tull’s words, not mine 🙂
Crew over at IGN caught Thomas Tull twice during the Godzilla promotion in London and New York and Tull hinted that we might see something on this years Comic-Con and that the story is focused around two tribes. I think he meant two factions, two races or something like that, but at that moment he couldn’t find the proper and correct word 🙂
“Doing a videogame movie has not really been done well, and I think part of the reason for that is it’s been done for the wrong reasons. If you simply say ‘How many people have played the game? How much money can we make?’ You’re doomed. You’re doomed right off the start.”
“Bringing a filmmaker like Duncan [Jones] onboard to distill that and bring the incredible cast onboard that he was able to get… we hope that when you see the first trailer for it, you’re going to say ‘OK, this is not what I was expecting.’ He’s an incredibly exciting filmmaker.”
Or you can just check out the video…
At this point you probably heard there was a mood teaser for Warcraft movie at Comic Con, but it was short and it seems forbidden to record. Only video that kind off appeared was this one where Thomas Tull & Duncan Jones give a brief info about the movie.
As for the footage everyone wants to see, no video just many descriptions from people who were at the Comic Con Legendary panel. There are different interpretations of what people saw but basicaly it’s something like this…
